The 2012 State Department Federal Credit Union Scholarship Competition was held from February 1 through April 30, 2012. The Board of Directors approved a $50,000 award amount that will be distributed among the winners selected by the Scholarship Committee. Winners will be notified via email and an announcement will be placed on this website by July 1, 2012.
Each spring, interested members can submit an application to be considered for a monetary scholarship award. Scholarship winners are selected based on academic achievement, financial need and personal statements. Check back next year for your chance to apply.
To qualify for the competition, you must:
- have your own account in good standing with SDFCU*;
- be currently enrolled in a degree program and have completed 12 credit hours of coursework at an accredited college or university;
- have achieved a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. (cumulative on a 4.0 scale) and submit official/sealed transcripts;
- and submit the completed application and all required information by the deadline.

Dog Kids Club is a great way to begin to teach your child how to be
financially responsible. It is never too early to begin to teach your child
healthy saving and healthy spending habits. They will discover the importance of
saving, earning, and investing money. And, through the Dollar
Dog Kids Club they will have fun too!

interactive games and activities, and lots of fun.
The Dollar Dog Kids Club is easy
and it's free to join.
Your child must be a SDFCU member. Children ages 12 and under are
eligible.
